File -> save -> check save copy as -> dropdown "Word Document"

file -> export -> word (can save as pdf, rtf or plain text as well)

Print to PDF
Any OSX cocoa app that you can print from should allow you to print to pdf.

file -> print -> pdf dropdown -> save as pdf, give filename and location to save it in the dialog box
